Artie

This is a portrait of an English sheepdog mix named Artie. He is surrounded by a still life of his owners’ belongings for good measure. Artie was banned from the dining room during meals, but he would station himself in this vantage point to make notes on precisely where the food was falling for later retrieval. The family felt that there was no other pose or place in the house that was more appropriate for Artie’s portrait. This is the real Artie.
