Come on Mama, Let's Go

This piece of chiaroscuro equine art is of a young thoroughbred warmblood cross named Silky. Silky was born and raised on the ranch of my friend Inger, who breeds sporthorses, and was a favorite model. He was handsome and had great presence. Like all young ones, he found out that modeling lacks the glamour it is purported to have and is pretty darned tedious work. The colt is pawing the ground, showing his impatience.
