Cricket Magazine Illustration

This is an illustration for a story called "Pinto Bean" in Cricket, the children's magazine. If the model looks familiar, it's because she is Jade, the subject of one of the portraits that appears in rotation on my home page. She comes from a family of good-looking kids whom I often use as models for book covers and such. The story is about a blind Arabian mare who has a pinto foal.
